Lake Humane Society is a proud partner of PetFix, a low-cost mobile spay/neuter clinic. By working with PetFix  it is our hope to reduce pet overpopulation in Lake County.

Are you unsure about having your pet fixed?  Here are just a few reasons why you should:

Lower Overpopulation:
There are 6-8 million homeless animals entering shelters every year in the United States. Shelters do their best to place animals in loving homes, but the number of homeless animals far exceeds the number of willing adopters. Only spaying and neutering can end the overpopulation problem.

Lower Vet Bills:
Altered pets have been proven to be less prone to many medical issues. Altering your dog can increase his/her life by 1-3 years and altering your cat can increase his/her life by 3-5 years.

Make your Pet Happier:
Altering your pet decreases their need to roam, mark and can even make them more affectionate.

Spaying and neutering can only benefit your pet. You can help your dog or cat live a happier, healthier, longer life.
